Charlton’s Got Talent
The Club hosted Charlton’s Got Talent on May 31, 2025 to showcase the many talents of Charlton residents – singing, dancing, instrumental performances, skits, acrobatics, original poetry and more.
Peace Poster Contest
For peace to be anything more than a possibility, we need to make it a priority. Each year, we invite our middle school students to create a poster that speaks to our world’s infinite potential for kindness once we commit to pursuing the idea of peace without limits. Students compete in a poster contest judged by the Charlton Lions. One winner advances to the District and potentially to international competition.
Annual Scholarship Awards
Up to three $1000-dollar scholarships are awarded each year to graduating high school seniors who are Charlton residents. Visit your Guidance Counselor for an application.
Membership Nights
A Membership night is held annually (usually in January) to introduce interested individuals to Lionism. The event is normally held at The Overlook in the Great Room, our regular meeting place.
For information on joining or attending a meeting to see how you can help your community, Contact us here.
Youth Speech Competition

Our Youth Speech Competition (held most years) provides an opportunity for students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 to speak publicly and freely on a designated topic. Judges are members of The Charlton Lions Club. Competition winners go on to the District level and, if they are successful, on to national competition.

Club Sponsors Leos at Bay Path Regional Vocational High School
When there is an interest at Bay Path Technical Vocational High School, The Charlton Lions Club sponsors a Leos Club.
Lions Club International describes Leos Clubs as having the following principles — “Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.” Members of Leos clubs embody the best qualities of Lions. They are devoted young people who realize the power of action. Together, Leos and Lions form a powerful partnership — one of mutual respect where Lions learn from the innovative insights of Leos, and where Leos gain access to the proven strategies of those who’ve successfully served the world for decades.
